JOHN BOYEGA- MY MAN CRUSH MONDAY

I usually don't do the #MCM thingy because many people literally just want to famz. They ain't crushing. Just famzing.

Anyways when it comes to John Boyega some rules can as well hit the rock for all I care.

So this young Denzel Washington as he is fondly referred to stole my heart not just by his boyishly handsome looks - which by the way is a keeper look.   But he has proven himself to be an acting talent beyond recognition!

John Boyega is a British born Nigerian, raised in Peckham in south-east London in the year 1992 .

He studied performing arts at South Thames College and went through training at Identity School of Acting in Hackney and has starred in a variety of plays and small British films before landing the leading role in the movie Star Wars– The Force Awakens!

That was where he got me. I crushed on his skills in The Force Awaken like a kid crushing on candies.

What is there not to love about this young talent? He’s got charisma, positive energy, and a cute chic-casual style.

John also starred in Half of a Yellow Sun, a film adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel of same title, alongside Thandie Newton and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

When racist fans had issues with John about being cast as Ugwu of their beloved franchise. His response was pure perfection, "I am grounded in who I am, and I am a confident Black man, a Nigerian. I’m proud of my heritage, and no man can take that away from me."

Preach to them Bro!

LET'S TALK ABOUT........... SELFISHNESS.

First thing first, What does being selfish mean and at what point do you even consider someone selfish? 

Here's my own view on this, 

People are born with selfishness in their blood. It's just a matter of choice if they will abuse this power or not.

As humans,  it's a natural thing to be selfish and like I said earlier It's just a matter of how far we let it eat into us.

To me,  being selfish is not a crime. Yes..........you heard right! It's really not a crime.

Okay,  for example ;

If there's only a last piece of chanel purse that you love so much at a store and your friend happens to love that same purse too  but she already has tons of chanel in her closet.  Question is : are you still going to let her have the purse no matter how much you want it?

The answer is a firm "NO".

I admire selflessness, kindness and thoughtfulness, yes,  but sometimes it makes everything me cringe when people do those things.

It's like watching a movie and you love a particular character but you hate what she's doing and you always wonder,  "Is she always that exceptionally kind?".

In this life that we are in,  we only live once.

Do not give up on things that you want just because you don't want to be in the red light or because you don't want people to talk about you when you are gone.

Have this at the back of your selfless mind that People will talk about you whether you are good to them or not. You can actually be a good person with a good heart and still say "No'.

Do not try too hard to play a hero, be your own hero first. (Not even in this Nigeria that recession is hitting really hard on us,  someone will now say I'm selfish.  Oga Park well.......you can choose to be Mr selfless citizen at all times, but for me? I gotta do what I gotta do! Lol)

Do what you want.

Do what makes you happy

And the hell to those preventing you from achieving these things.



Please o, this is not to say that being selfish is a good thing, All I am saying is that if your happiness on something warrants being selfish.........You know what to do.
